Looking back, I must have made hundreds of them! Our Canadian winters are quite long. Wink, wink. I would cut the fabric one day, then shape the petals the next evening and assemble the flowers yet another night. Then, when it was time to embellish them with beads and crystals, I would choose the right colors during the day on Saturday or Sunday, and had each flower ready for beads and embellishment for the evenings during the week.
It was a very enjoyable process.
Sometimes I would work all weekend, because I was giving so many of the flowers away to charity; and when they needed a theme colors it was just easier to do all that needed to be done all at once.
Most of the time however, I would just work in an evening, a bit here and there.
Now we started selling those beautiful flowers (they really are quite nice, I must admit!), to raise money for yet another great cause.
25% of each sale will be donated to the Parish Hall Operating Fund at the Holy Spirit Parish in Barrie, Ontario.
I will be uploading pictures of all my brooches here; for now however, please take a look at our Facebook Page for pricing and shipping info.
The brooches are priced individually and we can ship them worldwide (you will be notified about the cost of shipping prior to sending the brooches to you).
You can also visit our Fabric Flower Headbands page or for those that can't stand headbands, check out the Fabric Flower Barrettes.
